Frits Bosman – President and Founder
At age 16 Frits started his construction career from the ground up, graduating from Ryerson in civil engineering in 1965 to structural steel design in pre-engineered steel buildings, to managing Design-Build construction firms before starting BBS with a former employer in 1980, becoming sole owner in 1982. Frits and his employees have enjoyed working with the Design-Build construction project delivery ever since completing over 1400 total projects, large and small, many for repeat clients during almost 40 years of service.

Scott Bosman – Vice President
Scott has worked at BBS in many different capacities growing up and throughout college including in the office and on the sites. After graduating college Scott worked at various different companies and industries gaining valuable experience before joining BBS in 2003.
His varied experiences developed his accomplishments in customer service, project management, leadership, communication, data analysis and business development.
Since 2003 Scott has worked in all aspects of the company over the past 15 years plus, and currently serves as the Vice President and is the company CFO.

Pete Van Grootheest, GSC – Senior Project Manager
Over the past 39 years, Pete Van Grootheest has been involved in many aspects of construction, primarily acting as a Project Manager, but also with experience as a Design Build Estimator and Site Superintendent for various general contractors. During this time he has developed expertise in Design Build work, and a good understanding of the complexities of integrating customers’ desires with practical solutions in today’s ever-changing environment.

We approach every project with the core philosophy of serving our clientele and delivering outstanding results. In doing so, we pursue an exclusive relationship with each client and develop a plan that is tailored to their specific needs and budget. We take the risk, fear and anxiety associated with planning and managing a construction project away from the client and give them the benefit of our broad experience. We will not sacrifice quality for cost, in fact, building a reputation for quality, excellence and on-time delivery is a key component to our business strategy. We are accountable for everything that we do and we keep the client apprised of project progress every step of the way.

Safety First! Construction site safety

BBS Construction recognizes that it is the right of every worker to work in a safe & healthy environment and as such is committed to the protection of human, physical, and environmental resources and will make every reasonable effort to provide a safe, healthy, work environment. We will maintain and enhance safe and productive work sites by meeting or exceeding industry standards and practices and complying with current legislation. Senior management is committed to working with employees to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all.

BBS Health and Safety Program 

Supervisors will be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. Supervisors are responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment are safe and that workers work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures. Workers must receive adequate training in their specific tasks to protect their health and safety. Every worker must protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable Regulations and safe work practices and procedures established by this company, its clients, and the general contractor(s).
